Gangnam Severance Hospital said that it has installed Da Vinci Xi, a fourth-generation surgical robot

The surgical technology allows surgeons to offer precise, minimally invasive surgery in the areas of cardiac, colorectal, general surgery, gynecology, head and neck, thoracic surgery, and urology.

The device also provides a high-definition 3D image and tiny wristed instruments that bend and rotate far higher than the human hand.

With the installation of the Da Vinci Xi device, Gangnam Severance Hospital now operates two Da Vinci surgical robots. The hospital installed Da Vinci S in 2007.
